Another day, another trip to MSTI for blood work and to meet with Kean's Cancer doctor.
We got good news and good news and good news.
His counts are right on track.
And so is he in the big picture of Chemotherapy.
His Bone Marrow draws from last week show he is officially
in remission.
So sit up straight, pay attention, Leukemia 101 is back in session.
As Dr. Camilo explained it to me, when Kean was diagnosed; he had about one trillion of those evil little Leukemia cells in his body.
Now with all the hard core meds they've thrown at his little body, he is down to less than 1 percent.
Oh, that's still about ten billion of those little buggers still
floating around wreaking havoc in his body... but we are winning the war!
Now we'll move into the next phase and start hunting down those ten billion guerrillas and squash 'em hard.
Yes, it will take over three years but we have them on the defense.
Surgery is scheduled for Friday-- a permanent port, a Spinal Tap and two doses of Chemo.

I am so happy to hear this news. . . . although I'm not happy that he has to go through surgery, spinal tap and all. BUT!! A little pain for a lot of gain! xoxoxo
That's our little fighter!! You will show those last little buggers just where to go!! Love you sweetie!
Good job Kean!
