So Long, Farewell...

Phew... did our boy get a work-out today.
Three therapy sessions is enough to send any healthy person over the edge.
As for Kean... he hung tough.  He was tired but tough.
He started nice and early with Andrea (and Katie, her intern in the background).
Kean was a bit of a pill when it came to doing the stairs
but he did 'em all right.
It just took lots of cheering and cajoling.
Momma Gump, aka, Maureen came at noon... putting him through games, puzzles, blocks,
coloring and on and on.
Right after Maureen, came Kean's speech therapist, Megan.
Here's the heart breaker.
Since Kean has been kind of hit and miss with therapy due to his health and Chemo,
Megan has to fit him in where she can.
And lately, it has only been on Wednesdays when he already has OT and PT.
Three sessions of therapy is too much for the kiddo and since Megan is
cutting back her hours to spend more time with her own daughter, we opted
to go with a new Speech Therapist-- Leny (who came with Megan today to meet Kean).
Leny seems wonderful-- but losing Megan is like losing part of the family.
We consoled ourselves with promises to see each other regularly.
She's been coming to our house nearly each week for a year.
We will miss her!
Oh, one final note... the great battle to keep Kean healthy continues to be tricky.
Tonight Greer had a low grade fever and felt awful.
We got through the homework we had to... and she was in bed by 7:30.
Tomorrow- bright and way too early, we head back to the hospital.
Let's hope the second try this week is the charm.
Keep those fingers crossed.
