Adventures Without Mom

I can't guarantee that Kean is happy to have his three very loud sisters back home.

And that lovely bow in his hair?

 We had a lazy family day today.

We didn't have church because twice a year our church holds General Conference.

We believe that God didn't just put prophets on earth during Biblical times... that

we have a modern day prophet who leads and directs us.

President Thomas S. Monson and his twelve Apostles (whose primary purpose

is to testify of the life and divinity of Jesus Christ) all spoke during the two day conference.

Their talks encourage us how to be more spiritual, better people and better citizens.

It's kind of a highlight for us members.

I was so excited to take the three girls to a session of conference Saturday morning.

A friend of mine had provided us with great seats... but get this, Reese woke

up Saturday morning with a sore throat, a very runny nose and a hacking cough.

I didn't think anyone would appreciate me bringing the little germ factory to the

Conference Center.

So the two of us stayed in the hotel, while Holland and Greer went with the Simpson's

 to go listen and then walk around Temple Square in Salt Lake City.

A pretty cool experience for them...

a not so thrilling experience for Reese and I.

But good news,, she was much better by today.
