MLK couldn't have said it any better.
We are free at last!
We escaped at 4p.m.-- almost one week to the minute that we were institutionalized hospitalized.
The two girls escorting Kean down to my car are Candy Stripers. (Not sure how to spell that so it doesn't look like Strippers).
I used to be one of those in Vegas (no, not a Stripper, a Striper)... but had a cute red and white dress.
Guess times have changed.
Kean got out of the wagon and into his car seat and literally giggled.
He was sooo happy to be home and to see his Dad and Sisters.
Hopefully, he'll sleep really well and his Oxygen monitors will behave.
You should see the medical equipment in his room tonight.
It's really not a far cry from what we just left behind.
Thanks everyone again for your love and support.
I'm off to bed!

Glad he's home. Hope your night went ok & that you get a little break from all this for a while.
Congratulations, Kean! Way to go, Lonni!
(Side note and question: I was a Candy Striper when I was in high school. If I put that on my resume and mispelled it, would I get less or MORE job inquiries? I'm just sayin...)
Lonni, you're a riot! Glad you made that clarification so we didn't continue to believe that you were a stripper in your former life! Congrats on being able to take Kean home! I bet you're both exhausted. Hope you can get some good R&R this week. Hope Greer is feeling herself soon, too. Love you tons!
HOORAY! Love you all
Glad you're home! I didn't realize they still had Candy Stripers...I used to be one, too, and had the red/white striped dress! Much cuter!
We have been out of touch for over a week, while we were in Salt Lake. I had no idea Keen was having problems. I'm SOOO sorry. I have lived the hospital life for many years with sick kids. I know how hard it is. I thought Keen had his RSV inoculation to prevent this from happening. You and Keen will be in our prayers.
