We interrupt this regularly scheduled report on escaping to Fiji to bring you: LIFE!
Yup, that ol' cancer creeped back into our lives big time today.
Kean had his routine Spinal Tap (also referred to as a Lumbar Puncture and a back poke) to
put chemo into his brain and spine.
These days are always rough ones for the little man.
And today was no exception.
We did have a rather fun "date" though... my friend Hannah Manning helped
keep him entertained and his momma sane.
After getting his vitals and his "Vampire Draw" in the clinic--
and by the way his counts are right where the doctors want them
so no adjustments to his current home chemo meds-yippee--
we headed over to the fourth floor of the hospital for the procedure.
By the time he went under, Kean was pretty much done with everyone and everything.
I think this forced fasting before anesthesia is harder on him than we realize.
But once under, he did great.
And so far tonight,, I'm happy to report, he seems to be doing okay.
He even ate a decent dinner.
Hoping tomorrow brings a good day for our brave little boy.
