Don't know how you spent your Friday night...
but I spent it with a few thousand screaming 4th and 5th graders and their friends and relatives.
Greer is one of her school's top jump ropers and competed in the districts for
"4th Grade Girls Backward Jumping".
She smoked the first round and made it into the second round...
only to fall victim to her nerves.
Poor thing.
Thankfully, she had Reese who so sweetly kept telling all
of us "it's not about winning but all about having fun."
Not sure I'd say sitting in a gym from 5:30 to 9:30 is my idea
of fun. But it was important to the girls.
And they came away with Holland committed to coaching
Greer all this summer so she can go back and dazzle
next year.
p.s. Byron and Boy Wonder stayed home tonight.
Kean is doing quite well for having Chemo yesterday-- he's edgy but fine.
p.p.s. tomorrow is the big St. Baldrick's day... where 150 folks here
are shaving their heads to raise money for children's cancer research.
That includes Dr. Meeker and Dr. Duplais (two of Kean's docs)
and Steve, one of Kean's fav nurses:
