So the good news is we made it through the night
without a trip to the E.R.
The bad news is... I spent two shifts bundled up outside,
sitting on the porch holding a croupy, wheezy little boy.
Luckily, it was a full moon so we had plenty to look at.
Luckily, it was a full moon so we had plenty to look at.
Of course, once daylight came, he was much better.
We are praying for a night of sleep in this house.
Poor Reese has the same gunk as Kean.
An on and off fever, an icky cough and an overall feeling of yuckiness.
Ironically, she had her big birthday check-up at the pediatrician's today.
And perfect timing since she stayed home from school anyway.
So here's the scoop: she has actually grown.
(If you've never met her - let's just say we ran out of gas with this one).
She has gone from the 3rd percentile to the 5th percentile in height!!!
But is holding steady at the 3rd percentile for weight.
In other words, Keanut, the Peanut should be sharing his nickname with her.
Our doc sent us over for an X-ray to test the age of her bones
to see if something is going on with her growth.
Honestly, I'm not worried until I have reason to.
I was a tiny little thing and Byron was a very late bloomer.
And anyway, we are constantly telling her
"small but mighty".
She'll be fine whether she's short or tall.
Plus, she has more personality packed into that mini body than
most kids twice her size.
