It's nice to know we've been missed.
Several of you emailed to make sure we were all okay.
We actually were at one of the most memorable experiences of our lives!
Really.
We went up to Sun Valley to participate in Camp Rainbow Gold's
Winter Retreat.
There were twelve of us- cancer families and countless volunteers
for CRG who seemed only to want to spoil us!
And spoil us they did.
When we arrived Thursday evening- there was a small army
of volunteers who helped us unload our car and move into our
cute little cabin-- one that they had put the heater on to have nice and toasty warm
and decorated with lights and Christmas decorations.
We quickly unpacked, were fed dinner
and then headed over to the chapel building for family games.
First up-- the girls had counters fastened around their ankles
and then had to see who could throw the biggest tantrum
(kick the most) to get the highest score.
They then had to move a cookie from their foreheads
to their mouths...
see who could empty a Kleenex box the quickest...
Well, you get the idea.
It was a nice warm up-- for an incredible weekend.
Kean was thrilled beyond words to be out of the house.
Every day was an adventure-- I can't wait to tell you more.
But I'm tuckered out.
Kean picked this weekend to figure out how to climb
out of the porta-crib. A feat, he was so proud of-- he had to
show it off over and over again for hours when he should have
been sleeping!
