I know you've heard me talk about my grandmother: Beth Walker (my mom's mom).
She's my children's great grandmother and we seriously refer to her as "Grandma the Great"!
And she is all that.
Plus, much, much more.
The woman runs circles around me and words are so flimsy when it comes to describing
how much I love and admire this woman.
Today is her 95th birthday.
Well, kinda.
She was born in Canada and this is the date her mother said she was born on.
However, the only records she could find of her birth (I guess birth certificates weren't
quite in vogue back then) was an old Sunday School class document that said she was
born on August 3rd not September 3rd.
Byron likes to tease her she's just milking it and trying to get more bang
for her birthday buck!
Anyway, happy, happy birthday to my dearest Grandma.
I'm one of the older ones in her stable of grandchildren.
Here's a few stats that will knock your socks off:
She had 13 children ( my mom is the oldest of the 9 girls. Her youngest is just two months older than me).
She has 86 grandchildren.
And her 324th great-grandchild was just born last week.
I gave up a looooonnnnngggg time ago trying to fill her shoes.
I'm just content to have some of her genes!
