Stick A Fork In Me!

Today is a day I have wondered countless times how many miracles will the Lord bestow upon my loved ones.  To put it mildly, it has been one insane day.  First thing this morning, we learned one of my favorite people in the entire world, my Aunt Daleen had suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on the left side of her body.  On a scale of 1 to 10, the Doctor said she was at about a 7 or 8 for damage.  Lot's of prayers were sent up to heaven and late this afternoon we learned that the surgery to remove the clot in her brain had been a success and not only was she able to move but talk and even joke about when she could go home.
I had spent the day at my mom's house with my 95 year old Grandmother (who happened to miraculously catch Aunt Daleen when she had the stroke and collapsed this morning).
I got the children home around 4:45, only to turn around and rush Kean to the Emergency Room.  He had been off since he woke up from his nap at my mom's.  He spiked a temperature of 102.2 when we got home.
At the E.R., I talked the doctors into holding off catheterizing him until after his blood tests came back.  And since his numbers came back fine-- they let him dodge that awful bullet.  He did get pumped full of antibiotics-- even though we don't really know why he was feverish.

But unfortunately, we didn't get to go home and go to bed.  On our way home, a girl ran a red light and I plowed into her.  I was so freaked out about Kean, I could hardly make my fingers dial 9-1-1.  We both were broken down in a major intersection (Hwy 44 and Eagle Road).  A slew of responders came and somehow, no one was injured.  I basically hit my brakes, swerved and therefore crashed into her passenger back end-- spinning her completely around.  If it would have been a direct hit we would have had a very different story.
Kean checked out just fine.  In fact, he didn't even cry.  He was so quiet, that made me worry in the beginning... but all is well.  My car is totalled.  How we will afford to get as nice of a car for a replacement is beyond me.  Maybe we can call down another miracle.
But seriously, I don't know what to think about this day, other than we have really been watched over-- again and again.
p.s.  I'm supposed to leave tomorrow for my high school reunion in Vegas.  Guess we'll see what the night and morning brings.
